Pin-Point the Enemy

In her book "Techniques of Propaganda and Persuasion," Mageda Shabo outlines 11 techniques of propagada.  Assertion, Bandwagong, Plain Folks, Lesser of Two Evils, False Dilemma, Pin-Point the Enemy, Glittering Generalities, name-calling, Testimonials, Transfer, and Card-Stacking.  Walter Lippman described the population as being compose of 1% who own everything, 19-20% who manage it for them, and 80% who are to be managed by devices like propaganda...he refrerred to this 80% as the Bewildered herd...finally, Noam Chomsky compares the use of propaganda in free societies to the sword, stick, gun etc in totalitarian states...the idea being that propaganda is the weapon of governments with free societies in place of the instrument of destruction utilized by dictators etc.  This poster combines all of those ideas and gives some insight into what the technique of propaganda known as "Pin-Pointing the Enemy" is.
